Teaching Experience:

I began teaching Spanish while an undergrad at the University of Cincinnati. Upon graduating, I taught Spanish in several area middle schools. After moving to the rural mountains of Colorado, I completed my Colorado teaching licensure requirements before my employment as a full time Spanish teacher in the Jefferson County School District in 2006.

ESL Experience:

Previously, as a caseworker and home visitor among the immigrant community in both Cincinnati, Ohio and Westminster, Colorado; I learned firsthand the many inherent difficulties in settling a family in a new country with a new language. Based on my experience, my decision to pursue my Master's degree in Linguistically Diverse Education was an obvious one. I joined Jeffco's ESL team in 2010 to aid Evergreen's English learning community.
